Lord, I pray before I dress
To consider all that you have blest
Put my thoughts to test
That in You all reliance rests
Consider this
And do not miss
What needs to be your daily quest
As far as the east is from the west
Is the extent of My love growing greater never less
On this truth You can surely rest
I have endowed you with my very breath
Given you a heart that beats
Ability with hands and feet
Knowledge of me when I speak
Welcome me as you would the morning sun
Trusting that the best is yet to come
Upon this path is born a new day bright
Where in your heart there glows a light
You call it love, I call it might
From which comes all that is good in life
Make this your engine’s driving force
Our hearts united on this daily course

The train has left the station — but my mind, that is speeding forth on a faster track, has already arrived at its predetermined destination — Unable to recount where I have been the rationale disguised as truth insists — “What you’ve missed is worth the price to get where you are going.”
***
It requires a necessary discipline, halting tracks to slowing down — To reconnect with the source of life, that in its disregarded elegance seems to beg for my attention. How could I give Creator and creation praise … blinded sometimes by my own intentions?
I wind down, breathless and amazed … as though it is a first. This free, most precious gift exciting senses, calming soul with Spirit’s peace — bares a beauty that abounds with seeds for endless blooming.
While cranking up the patio umbrella
Preparing for a brand new day
I found an unexpected friend was waiting there
Oftentimes her message represents
It’s time to take a leap
As was the case when first discovered
For that’s exactly what I did
She posed just long enough for us to get acquainted
Reminding me that I am not alone
And with God’s help we are all equipped
To always find our way
An umbrella for shelter
The ability to forage for our needs and even our desires
To be appreciated by another
And always to be ready
To take a leap of faith

All actions initiated from a place of peace are more likely to engender desired results –
Peace and Love . . .
It’s that time of year
What time is that you say
It is now; it is always
It is our weapon against war
It is our agent for all disease
It is what wakes us up
And gives us pause
Not to rise up in rebuke
Not to lay down in denial
Not to lie, but to edify
And only when the Spirit says it’s called for

Thank you God – Thank you Jesus – Thank you Holy Spirit
For Your Life in mine
Make it Shine
I pray …. Make it shine
Like rain from Heaven
Soak us with Your Love

The rain effects us all
For some it’s joy and others sorrow
Rain produces crops but also mold
Life goes on and yet I know
To live with God in mind and heart
Promises a life beyond what one ever could imagine
Ps – After our photo session this little guy found his way back to the garden and to freedom 😉
If only common sense was as good as their scents
There’d probably be more peace and far less arguments
But we too have a nose that knows
When we use the Spirit’s gift of discernment

Whether winter’s fleeting light
Long lasting nights
Or sudden frights
Nothing will there ever be that keeps Your love from me
The fire in the skies above
The stars that pierce the blackness of the night
Reveal your plan and majesty
I’ll sit and wait and watch and pray
Let night, its cold and biting winds
Know soon its day is done
Heaven knows this soon will end
Not only with the birth of Spring
But with a bright and never-ending day
A new world for eternity to come

If our hearts were made of brick the mortar would be tears
Life demands nothing less than to dissolve our hardened hearts
To free us from these pain-filled walls
With each tear shed, another brick falls
Unable to withstand the Spirit’s call
This stony heart, is now a veil of Sacred tears
The angels enter to do the Spirit’s work
With firm resolve by God’s commission
Their promise is to never leave
By free will, that gift from God
The Spirit’s treasures are released
Tears still are shed, but now are shared
A salty pool of mixed emotions
Some days in pain, but most in joy
Assured that we are not alone
And the work we do, is not in vain
